Summary

Part manifesto for mastery, part playbook for genius-grade productivity and part companion for a life lived beautifully, the 5 am club is a work that will transform your life。 Forever。

Legendary leadership and elite performance expert Robin Sharma introduced The 5 AM Club concept over twenty years ago, based on a revolutionary morning routine that has helped his clients maximize their productivity, activate their best health and bulletproof their serenity in this age of overwhelming complexity。

Now, in this life-changing book, handcrafted by the author over a rigorous four year period, you will discover the early-rising habit that has helped so many accomplish epic results while upgrading their happiness, helpfulness and feelings of aliveness。

Through an enchanting—and often amusing—story about two struggling strangers who meet an eccentric tycoon who becomes their secret mentor, The 5 AM Club will walk you through:

■ How great geniuses, business titans and the world’s wisest people start their mornings to produce astonishing achievements
■ A little-known formula you can use instantly to wake up early feeling inspired, focused and flooded with a fiery drive to get the most out of each day
■ A step-by-step method to protect the quietest hours of daybreak so you have time for exercise, self-renewal and personal growth
■ A neuroscience-based practice proven to help make it easy to rise while most people are sleeping, giving you precious time for yourself to think, express your creativity and begin the day peacefully instead of being rushed
■ “Insider-only” tactics to defend your gifts, talents and dreams against digital distraction and trivial diversions so you enjoy fortune, influence and a magnificent impact on the world

Excelente libro。

To be succinct - a very inspiring and down-to-earth message, delivered in a unique and creative way。 Was the message chokingly optimistic? Yes。 Did the narrative feel like two 5 year olds having a pretend fight with action figures? Sometimes。 Maybe we need more optimism。 Maybe I need to act like a 5-year old more。 With all of that said, I would recommend a youtube summary instead of the whole book。 Its repetitive and self-interested。

5 Pages was enough。

Honestly, I didn't like this book because of the style that writer used。 Allegory。 I stopped after 50th page。 This book definitely is not my cup of tea, but it doesn't mean it's bad。 It has great points。 I didn’t like the “story presentation” of it。 Trough reading it I realized waking up at 5am is not for me because till 13pm you already feel sleepy and need more coffees trough the day。 Honestly, I didn't like this book because of the style that writer used。 Allegory。 I stopped after 50th page。 This book definitely is not my cup of tea, but it doesn't mean it's bad。 It has great points。 I didn’t like the “story presentation” of it。 Trough reading it I realized waking up at 5am is not for me because till 13pm you already feel sleepy and need more coffees trough the day。 。。。more

It was good to learn, how you plan your morning Routine but it was a little bit boring and the side-Lovestory is something you don't need。 But you learn more about you neuroscience。 One of the best moments was the time they tell how I can Plan my day or my week to have a very good moments in my life。 It was good to learn, how you plan your morning Routine but it was a little bit boring and the side-Lovestory is something you don't need。 But you learn more about you neuroscience。 One of the best moments was the time they tell how I can Plan my day or my week to have a very good moments in my life。 。。。more

I DNF'd this book at Chapter 4。 Utter shite。 I have never read something so pretentious。 The dialogue at the Spell Binder conference was "gnarly dude"。 Just no I DNF'd this book at Chapter 4。 Utter shite。 I have never read something so pretentious。 The dialogue at the Spell Binder conference was "gnarly dude"。 Just no 。。。more

Herramientas útiles pero muy mala la historia

An excellent book。 To be honest not a lot of new information for me。 A lot of what is talked about I practice。 But not all。 It’s a very motivating affirming book about living a full life。 It reads like attending a motivational seminar。

Buen libro para comenzar a fijar metas personales, comencé siguiendo las recomendaciones qué qué aparecen en los cuadros y fui adaptando a mis necesidades。 Todo el mundo debería leer esto al menos una vez en su vida。

UsefulAlthough the narrative tends to be tedious there are concepts that might be useful and interesting so extract it from the rest of it

a lot of useful wisdoms here, tapi aku ga suka kali format penulisannya yang seolah olah pengen buat kayak novel yang bikin aku hampir dnf🙃

Trevor Pratt

I thought the concepts were really good! I agree with the idea of working hard to increase your self-control, I really do。However, it drove me up the wall how every idiom and simile was explained and how every possible synonym for “said” and “asked” was used。 Could just have been me, and I admit that, but GEEZ, it pulled me out of the narrative too much。Good book all the same。

The issue with this book is that it pushes too many theories。 Also parable format for this was downright annoying。 Too many steps and if I hear another line regarding the Spellbinder or the Eccentric Billionaire one more time I might just vomit in my mouth a little。

Loved the “story” telling narrative of this book。 I even started waking up at 5/6am for 2 months but didn’t keep up the habit after this。 Very motivational and again delivers some good messages

Highly overrated and utterly nonsense book。 I am a member of the 5 am club and was expecting this book to be enlightening or helpful, which it isn't at all。 Repetitive and boring read。 Skip。 Highly overrated and utterly nonsense book。 I am a member of the 5 am club and was expecting this book to be enlightening or helpful, which it isn't at all。 Repetitive and boring read。 Skip。 。。。more

I found this book quite motivating and appreciated that it wasn’t written in a typical “self help” book format。 There was a story behind it which made the concepts easier to grasp and imagine in your own life。 As someone who isn’t a morning person at all this book has really inspired me to change my mindset and to be more open to the benefits of early rising。

A very motivating book designed to have the reader unlock their fullest potential。 Most self help books don’t have an actual story line - so I appreciated his efforts to make the book more whimsical and interesting while adding in key self help practices。 However, the storyline was a bit weak and senseless in my opinion。

Maria Ferreira

Marvin

Spellbinding!!。 This book is the book that has changed my perspective and outlook on life。 Thank you so much, my gratitude is beyond words。

One that hit me is Capitalization IQ。

Asma

Good book that help you realize how the mornings are important for our health and mind。

Charlotte Cooper

Love the concepts, just not the writing。 Save your time and read the book summary on this one。

Maybe there were good lessons in this book but the writing and story were so painful i found myself just waiting for it to be over。 At one point even the characters were getting impatient with how long it was taking to get to the point。 If the fictitious people are getting impatient, you can imagine how I felt。

This is a generous 3-star review, mainly because I did find Robin Sharma’s concepts useful… once I finally reached the point of the book。The fictional story woven throughout was unnecessary。 I mean… the amount of adjectives alone…。Typically when people pick up a self-help book, they’re expecting structure, to-the-point, and real, relatable examples。 As a reader, it’s really hard to take any advice seriously if you don’t have real life examples to back it up。 He could have used examples of people This is a generous 3-star review, mainly because I did find Robin Sharma’s concepts useful… once I finally reached the point of the book。The fictional story woven throughout was unnecessary。 I mean… the amount of adjectives alone…。Typically when people pick up a self-help book, they’re expecting structure, to-the-point, and real, relatable examples。 As a reader, it’s really hard to take any advice seriously if you don’t have real life examples to back it up。 He could have used examples of people he mentored through each concept instead of an unrealistic story。 Not to mention, the story was interspersed with a multitude of random quotes that I found completely distracting。 One at the beginning of the chapter is fine, but the amount in this book is not okay。 I had to keep going back and reading the title of the chapter to remember what exactly I was supposed to be learning。 And even then, I would end a chapter not having learned anything。I managed to get half way through the book before I started skimming for the actual information。 Once I found it, I thought it was great actionable knowledge and advice that I plan to implement into my own life。This book was published by one of the Big 5 publishers, and yet it seems like the editors took a back seat just because it was Robin Sharma’s book。 Sometimes I think I understand what the author was trying to do here, but for this topic and category, it just doesn’t work。 I wish someone would’ve told him that and I wish he would’ve listened。 This really could have been done a lot better。 。。。more
